Dole needed a new web strategy and redesign to help promote not only its enormous product offering, but also its wealth of knowledge and research derived from the Dole Institute.
Using a portal approach paired with a tablet-friendly magazine-style layout, we developed an all-new look and feel for the web presence that struck a balance between product and healthy living information.
We also proposed a companion mobile app called “Healthy Plate” to help users meet their recommended daily intake of vitamins and minerals. Users could also challenge friends through a Facebook integration by setting weekly challenge goals.
Using the insight that moms sometimes give their phones to their child while shopping, we developed a kid version that unlocked fun matching games to help them learn about eating healthy in a fun way.
